Mike founded Gargoyle Software Inc in 1998 to help companies improve the way they develop software. He has worked with existing development teams to improve their technical skills as well as their communication and planning.

He is active in the Agile community and has provided leadership for both of the Agile groups in the Toronto area (XP/Agile Toronto and Scrum Toronto). He has also spoken on Agile topics at a variety of conferences and user groups.

Mike is a respected authority on the Ruby, Java™ and XML families of technologies and also keeps up with a variety of other technologies. He has spoken on a variety of technology related topics at conferences and user groups. These topics range from web services to Java™ Swing to Ruby on Rails.
