Easy Branding Tools is a new venture that we created in partnership with some other companies. This is targeted at new businesses and offers them a quick way to get started with branding.
This venture leverages all of our strengths and is built using a combination of Ruby, Java, XML and Agile practices.
XP/Agile Toronto was initially started by our founder Mike Bowler in 2000 to learn more about the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology. Gargoyle Software Inc. led that group in conjuction with Redhook Solutions for the next three years before passing leadership off to Intelliware.
XP was the first Agile methodology that we had encountered and it was clearly a better way of managing a software development team so we were very enthusiastic about it. As we learned about the other Agile methodologies, we opened up the focus of this group to cover Agile in general as all the Agile methods have points to recomend them.
Although we don't provide leadership for this group anymore, we are still active members.
We are founding members of Scrum Toronto and are currently part of the leadership for this group. Scrum is another Agile methodology and one that we find most useful when improving an existing development team.
The Agile Alliance is a non-profit organization that supports individuals and organizations who use agile approaches to develop software. Driven by the simple priorities articulated in the Manifesto for Agile Software Development, agile development approaches deliver value to organizations and end users faster and with higher quality.
We are members of the Agile alliance and support their efforts to improve software development.
The Durham IT Association is a group of IT related organizations in the Durham Region. This group focuses on building the IT expertise in the region and promoting that expertise to those who need it.
There are two parts to the Durham IT Association, a business group that focuses on business related issues and a technical group that deals with building technical skill. We are represented in both of these groups.
